Our second hotel in Lisbon was covered in gorgeous green tiles.
 One of the views in Lisbon that is reminiscent of San Francisco.
 The Time Out Market was a very high class food court. Some of Lisbon’s most highly regarded chefs have “stalls”.
 Both old and new buildings have the colorful tiles that are so characteristic of Lisbon.
 Avenida Liberdade is a lovely tree shaded street.
 The park at the top of Avenida Liberdade has a great view of the city and the river.

 The Hotel Britannia staff recommended Sacramento restaurant and we had a delicious dinner.
 The sidewalks in Lisbon were hand laid black and white stones that were charming to look at but extremely uncomfortable to walk on.
 Pena Palace in Sintra was a very colorful royal residence.
 Pena was fanciful but it was located for security with its panoramic views.
 On the way back from Sintra we stopped in the beachside resort town of Cascais.

 Evora was charming and historic.
 Our kitchen classroom was in a lovely garden full of citrus trees.

 Monsarraz was a hilltop town near the Spanish border. It even had a bullring.
 Monsarraz was lovely and we had it to ourselves.
 The cork industry is fascinating. Every nine years the cork can be removed for processing. It is used for flooring and is made into products like shoes, trivets, jewelry, luggage, and belts.
