Our first morning in Bruges

 The tour boats in Bruges were a little too crowded and low in the water to entice us.

 We started our day early so the day tripping crowds had not yet arrived.  A couple of hours later these tables were full.

 Our hotel had a lovely breakfast room with a fire to keep us warm.
 The Adornes Hotel manager, Rik, could not have been more helpful.  He gave excellent dinner recommendations and was extremely hospitable.

 The view of Amsterdam from our cabin's balcony.  It was a 3 minute walk from the train to the ship.  Since we had both been to Amsterdam before we didn't do any sightseeing before the ship departed a couple of hours after we arrived from B

 The Cathedral in Cologne is massive and on a high spot in the city.

 The rain didn't stop us from hiking up to Marksburg Castle.

 It was getting dark when we arrived in Rudesheim but we hurried and made it to Kathe Wolfahrt and a couple of other shops before they closed.

 Strasbourg was the most scenic city we visited--full of charm.

 A popular Strasbourg alley with lots of bars and cafes.
 Our local guide in the Black Forest was delightful!
 Unfortunately there was very heavy rain on our one day in the Black Forest.  Thankfully our local guide was very entertaining and helped us enjoy the trip.
